A Few Of My Favorite Things…
Sooooo I see “Charade” with Cary Grant (towards the end of his career) & the gorgeous Audrey Hepburn on tv… it gets me thinking about the wonderful classic movies I used to watch NONSTOP as a kid… some of my favorites:
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers! I think I watched this everyday for a year when I was 10! I loved the idea that those women fell in love with the sexy boys from across the tracks even after being kidnapped (hey they were hot who cares)! And ladies I don’t care who you are and at what age, you can’t help but feel good and giggle through this entire movie. They don’t make men like this anymore!!
PILLOW TALK! Are you kidding me… again prepare to giggle… No cell phones and text messaging here… I remember being so surprised an “old” movie could be so provacative - hey I was like 10 and super naive…
Sound of Music… what a classic… just wanted to throw this great musical on here because anyone who is anyone has ran around in the rain singing “Sixteen Going on Seventeen”…
Just wanted to offer a little reminder of the “quality” we used to see in entertainment… in light of this crazy week of #tigerblood & other reality tv news! I wish I had more time to sit down and watch some of the classics instead of channel surfing through “The Real Housewives of…”, “Jersey Shore”, & “Toddlers N Tiaras”… I better start collecting these movies because I know one thing! I want to make sure the next generation (aka mini-Molinders) get the opportunity to experience the same wholesome, feel-good, cinderella syndrome enducing entertainment I did!
